David Gilmour-Wots Uh The Deal
The master of the guitar in a beautiful rendition of one of Pink Floyd’s pre Dark Side tracks.

Steve Vai-For The Love Of God.
My favorite track by Vai, from G3 Live in 1996 with Satriani and Eric Johnson. On drums here is Mike Mangini, Dream Theater’s new drummer after Portnoy’s departure
Long Distance Calling | Into The Black Wide Open
First time listening to Long Distance Calling today. The sheer power and energy in the music are just impressive..
Roger Waters delivers the ultimate statement against war, the media, consumerism and human excess in this album.
An excerpt from the title track lyrics:
We watched the tragedy unfold
We did as we were told
We bought and sold
It was the greatest show on earth
But then it was over
We ohhed and aahed
We drove our racing cars
We ate our last few jars of caviar
And somewhere out there in the stars
A keen-eyed look-out
Spied a flickering light
Our last hurrah
And when they found our shadows
Grouped around the TV sets
They ran down every lead
They repeated every test
They checked out all the data on their lists
And then the alien anthropologists
Admitted they were still perplexed
But on eliminating every other reason
For our sad demise
They logged the only explanation left
This species has amused itself to death
No tears to cry no feelings left
This species has amused itself to death
Roger Waters-Amused to Death
Rainbow-Stargazer
Dio on vocals. Blackmore on the axe. Both at their finest. Enough said.

Opeth-In My Time Of Need
Opeth’s 2003 Damnation was a complete departure from the band’s death metal roots. Produced with Porcupine Tree’s Steven Wilson as guest performer and producer, Damnation is a very mellow and melodic album. All of the album’s tracks are outstanding it was hard for me to pick one to post here.
Porcupine Tree-Ambulance Chasing
One of Porcupine Tree’s rather unknown tracks. Ambulance Chasing only saw limited release on “Recordings”, a limited edition album of EP and album outtake tracks. I think it’s too good for an outtake and it shows how PT’s members are very able musicians.

Camel-Nimrodel/The Procession/The White Rider
The track is inspired by Tolkien’s Lord Of The Rings.
Camel is a grossly underrated prog rock band, virtually unknown in the US it’s difficult to find their albums there.
